All dealers purchase their cars from the same sources, dealer-only auctions (believe me, those lots are not filled with trade-ins).  We all start with the same car cost.

Traditional dealerships spend huge amounts of money on their sales staff, inventory, advertising, and elaborate showrooms.  These costs are added to the price of their cars and you, the customer, pay for it.
